COPERFORMA HAS WON A HSJ VALUE IN HEALTHCARE AWARD
Coperforma has been shortlisted in the Value and Improvements in Transportation and category at the 2014 Health Service Journal (HSJ) Value in Healthcare Awards, which was held on 23 September at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
The winning organisations, chosen from a record number of entries, have been judged by a panel made up of senior and influential figures from the health sector. This year, our judges included:
- Charles Alessi, Chairman, National Association of Primary Care
- Professor Jonathan Kay, Clinical Informatics Director, NHS England
- Val Moore, Implementation Programme Director, NICE
- Michael Macdonnell, Head of Strategy, NHS England
The new HSJ Value in Healthcare Awards seek to recognise and reward outstanding efficiency and improvement by the NHS. A successor to the HSJ Efficiency Awards, the Value in Healthcare Awards continue to recognise excellent use of resources. But they also seek out examples of demonstrable improvement in outcomes, both within back office functions and clinical initiatives.
Alastair McLellan, HSJ Editor said last night:
“The shortlisted entrants here tonight have demonstrated enormous and courage by successfully pursing their goals in such a testing environment. You have demonstrated how it is possible to drive both quality and efficiency to deliver greater value.
The NHS has experienced probably its most difficult period in two decades and the strains are beginning to tell. The fact that it is still standing is – in large part – down to the efforts of those we celebrate tonight.”
